Movies and rock came together at Hollywood's Kodak Theater yesterday for the taping of Movies Rock. The two-hour show, which will air this Friday at 9:00 p-m on CBS, features major pop artists such as Beyonce, Elton John and Carrie Underwood (see below) performing some of the best known songs in movie history.
The presenters from the movie world were Billy Bob Thornton, Charlize Theron, Cuba Gooding Junior, Danny DeVito, Emily Deschanel, Harrison Ford, Jenna Fischer, John C. Reilly, Josh Duhamel, Kate Hudson, Matthew Broderick, Quentin Tarantino, Rita Moreno, Shirley MacLaine and Jennifer Lopez, who word has it was initially scheduled to perform, until her pregnancy caused her to cancel. The show closed down Hollywood Boulevard, where the stars walked a "green carpet" made of 100-percent recycled materials.
