Looks like Duane "The Rock" Johnson is throwing in with the showbiz writers who are fighting for their share of new-media revenues. The strike will keep him from hosting Saturday Night Live this week.
Over the weekend, he said, "I look for it to be resolved as soon as possible, but I understand where the writers are coming from, sure. That was a deal that was put in place years ago, and much has changed of course, obviously with the advent of new media. Every year the web presence is stronger and stronger, but I look forward to seeing it resolved. It's fascinating. I think the process is going to be fascinating, negotiations are going to fascinating."
