Live Free or Die Hard is new to D-V-D today. The long-awaited fourth film in the action series has Bruce Willis back as cop "John McClane," out to take down an international terrorist group. Timothy Olyphant (H-B-O's Deadwood), Justin Long (T-V's "Mac Guy"), Maggie Q and Kevin Smith co-star. D-V-D extras include commentary, a 10-part making-of documentary and the Guyz Nite video "Die Hard." The musical comedy Hairspray stars Nikki Blonsky as a '60s Baltimore teen who becomes a T-V dance-show sensation. The movie-turned-Broadway-musical-turned-movie co-stars John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron (High School Musical). Extras on the D-V-D include a deleted musical number, commentary and the making-of documentary "You Can't Stop the Beat."
The Santa Clause Three: The Escape Clause features Tim Allen back as "Santa," now juggling married life, a Baby Clause and a scheme by "Jack Frost" to control the North Pole. Martin Short, Judge Reinhold, Spencer Breslin, Ann-Margret and Alan Arkin co-star. On the D-V-D, you'll find an alternate opening, a blooper reel, commentary, four behind-the-scenes specials and the Aly and A-J music video "Greatest Time of The Year."
The action-drama Rescue Dawn stars Christian Bale in the true tale of a U-S fighter pilot who is captured in Vietnam. The D-V-D has alternate and deleted scenes and a making-of special.
