Writer's Strike Hits Hawaii

The impact of the strike of the Writers Guild of America is being felt even in Hawaii, where filming of Lost is expected to shut down by the end of next week, according to the Honolulu Advertiser.

The newspaper said that following the filming of episode eight, the series will run out of scripts at mid-way point in its 2007-2008 shooting schedule.

It also noted that a party on Lanai to launch sales of Lost: The Third Season on DVD and another DVD launch for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, each of them scheduled for next week, have been canceled.
