It took her about five hours, but Katie Holmes huffed and puffed and completed the more than 26 miles of yesterday's New York City marathon. While most observers had their eyes out for Lance Armstrong, Katie ran below the radar until she briefly paused to lay a quick wet kiss on proud hubby Tom Cruise, positioned with little Suri on a New York street corner awaiting their marathon woman.
Katie had been training for the race with pre-dawn runs on the streets of Beverly Hills and Berlin. Members of Katie's family winged to New York from Ohio to watch her run. At the end of the race, Cruise said he found his wife "very inspired."
