If The Television Writers Strike...

  • Soap operas would start disappearing from the airwaves soon.
  • Unscripted shows, such as Dancing With the Stars, Survivor and The Amazing Race, would continue uninterrupted.
  • Colbert Report and The Daily Show would go into repeats immediately.
  • ABC's Lost is expected to have eight out of 16 episodes ready.
  • Scrubs on NBC supposedly has 12 of 18 episodes written.
  • Friday Night Lights, also on NBC, is expected to complete 15 of 22 episodes.
  • Battlestar Galactica on the Sci Fi Channel has 10 hours of episodes, plus a two-hour movie set to air this fall.
  • USA Network's Monk has enough scripts in hand to guarantee a full season.
  • Nip/Tuck on FX is ready with 14 of 22 episodes.
  • The Shield, also on FX, is safe. The final season is completely written, but they still haven't set a date for airing it
