Though a rep for Beyonce tells us she cannot confirm the reports, the Grammy winner will reportedly play legendary singer Etta James in the forthcoming film Cadillac Records. According to BlackFilm-dot-com, Beyonce -- who starred in Dreamgirls in 2006 -- will appear on screen with Adrien Brody, Jeffery Wright and Cedric the Entertainer.
Set in the '50s, Cadillac Records is a film about Leonard Chess (Brody), the founder of the legendary blues label Chess Records. Cedric the Entertainer will star as Willy Dixon and Wright will play Muddy Waters. Cadillac Records has been slated for a late 2008 release.
