The Recording Academy is hoping to reach an interim agreement with the striking Writers Guild of America ahead of the February 10th Grammy Awards. In a statement last night, Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said that the producers of the show "requested an interim agreement from the W-G-A for the telecast" and that his organization "remains hopeful that there will be a quick and positive response."The Writers Guild has indicated that they weren't inclined to give an interim agreement to the Recording Academy.
