OJ Simpson was back in a familiar place yesterday -- a courtroom. A sports memorabilia dealer was the first witness in a hearing to determine whether Simpson and his two co-defendants will face trial on a dozen charges for what prosecutors say was an armed robbery in Las Vegas in September.
Bruce Fromong told the court Simpson and his cohorts came into his hotel room "military invasion fashion" and stole dozens of items they had brought to Vegas to sell to what they thought was a collector. Some of the items related to Simpson's long football career.
Simpson and his two remaining co-defendants, Stewart and Charles Erlich, are charged with conspiracy, kidnapping, armed robbery and burglary, and could face life in prison if convicted.
