Dancing with the Stars contestant Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown tells Ellen DeGeneres that her fellow DWTS contestant Jane Seymour has “garnered the strength” to continue on the show, despite the death earlier this week of her beloved mother.Seymour, who had appeared on Ellen last month, shared how she’d been inspired to compete on the show by her mom, a DWTS fan who was ensconced in a nursing home in England after suffering a debilitating stroke.
“She was talking about how her mom was so excited that she was doing the show, and her mom just passed away,” DeGeneres says in her chat with Brown, which aired today. “So that must be really tough, but she’s still going on with it. Right?”
Responds Mel B.: “Surprisingly, yes. She’s garnered the strength together. But I think she was doing it for her mom. So more power to her.”
