No More Hannibal

Sir Anthony Hopkins may have said that he won't be returning to our screens as cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lector, but could he be about to play an even greater role?

The veteran actor has been tipped to play acclaimed director Alfred Hitchcock in a new film about his life, according to MTV.com.

Hopkins confirmed recently that he would not be playing Hannibal again, despite winning a Best Actor Oscar in 1992 for the part in The Silence of the Lambs and playing him twice again in Hannibal and Red Dragon in 2001 and 2002.

"Nope. I'm done," he told the New York Post.
