MARIAH CAREY may love having a loyal fan base, but she certainly doesn't want them getting too close. She recently launched her signature perfume M at Macy's department store in New York. The event allowed Mimi devotees to pay a whopping $300 so that they could gain access to a VIP area. However, Mariah wasn't too keen on exchanging more than waves with her fans.
"Mimi wouldn't let her male admirers put their arms around her waist during picture time - and absolutely no hugs," a source told Bangshowbiz.com.
"One young guy tried to get to close and was quickly shown to the exit."
