Halloween set a labor day box office record when the slasher film made over $31 Million . The previous record holder was "Transporter 2" which made $20.1 Million in 2005.
The number-one movie for the past two weekends, Superbad dropped to second with $15.1 Million. It has now banked $92 million.
The ping pong comedy Balls of Fury opened in third place.
