The decision of the Screen Actors Guild to have its members boycott this Sunday's Golden Globe Awards is reportedly being spearheaded by one high-profile nominee -- George Clooney.
One unnamed N-B-C executive has been quoted saying, "We know Clooney is a major force behind this decision. He has been ear-bashing others who may have been willing to cross picket lines." But a Clooney associate responds, "He does not ear-bash, he is far too easy-going for that."
Officially, N-B-C's position is, actors or no actors, Sunday's show will go on. But various other scenarios -- including one in which the actors show up, but the show is not televised -- are reportedly being discussed.
