Last Night On Dancing With The Stars

written by lee jeske...

The ladies took the floor last night's for part-two of the two-night premiere of A-B-C's hit reality show Dancing With the Stars, and they definitely gave the men, who danced Monday night, a run for their money.

Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi blew the judges away with a foxtrot that garnered a near perfect score and landed her solidly in first place with Mark Ballas. Actress and entrepreneur Priscilla Presley also bolted out of the box with returning professional Louis van Amstel with a foxtrot that put them in second. Despite her inability to hear the music, actress Marlee Matlin turned in an energetic cha cha cha that positioned her and newcomer Fabian Sanchez in third.

Nerves were definitely a factor for Broadway star
Marissa Jaret Winokur, who completely missed dance steps, placing her in fifth, while Monica Seles landed in last place -- proving that grace on the tennis court doesn't necessarily translate to the dance floor. Actress Shannon Elizabeth, who came in fourth, could be a dark horse in the competition if, as the judges advised, she can get her long, shapely legs under control.

Shia Is A Wanted Man

Shia LaBeouf is a wanted man in Burbank, California -- for illegal smoking! The co-star of the upcoming Indiana Jones film was due in court yesterday morning over a ticket he received for allegedly smoking on the sidewalk outside a Burbank gift shop last month. Jamie Lynn Boots Baby-Daddy

There appears to be a bit of the old "good news, bad news" thing going on with Jamie Lynn Spears these days. The good news is, "she's finally feeling better and has moved past her morning sickness," a family insider tells PageSix.com. The bad news, though, is a bit of a bummer.

It seems that Jamie Lynn "has not wanted to be around Casey [Aldridge]," our source says, and the two look to be "on the outs right now, but not officially over yet." But since Jamie Lynn's mom, Lynne Spears, is trying to create a good public impression (well, as good as one can create for a pregnant 16-year-old), everyone is acting like everything is fine.

Bedingfield Stays True

Natasha Bedingfield is having a groundbreaking few weeks: the singer performed at her first rodeo and her first baseball game. She blogged about those experiences as well as staying at the same hotel in L-A as Lindsay Lohan. In her pensive piece, Bedingfield wrote to fans about her sometimes “goody-two-shoes” image, “It seems like it’s actually more rebellious to stay true to yourself when everyone wants you to be something else and when everyone seems to get more praise for doing stupid things.” According to her blog, Bedingfield is now back in England for a few days.

Dancing With The Stars Tonight

written by lee jeske...
Tonight A-B-C waltzes out a new season of Dancing With the Stars. This year's celebrity hoofers include radio host and Man Show creator Adam Corolla, Priscilla Presley, R-and-B star Mario, Chilean T-V heartthrob Cristian de la Fuente, magician Penn Jillette, B-listers Shannon Elizabeth and Steve Guttenberg, and from the world of sports, Jason Taylor (Miami Dolphins), Kristi Yamaguchi (Olympic skater) and Monica Seles (tennis pro).

Corolla tells us why we'll see him swing in basic black. "I sweat, like I'll get a big pit stain on me. I don't want to be out there with a flirty handful of [my partner] and do a twirl at the end and have something that looks like Honolulu under my arm and see it on T-M-Z the next morning. So I may go Johnny Cash this year, basic black."

Jealous...Nah

from people...
The season premiere of Dancing with the Stars is tonight and Mark Ballas can’t wait. The pro dancer, who teamed up with Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan last year, says he’s excited for fans to see him and his new partner, Kristy Yamaguchi, perform.

“She’s an amazing athlete,” Ballas says of the Olympic gold medal figure skater. “She’s very pretty to watch in the ballroom.”

Ballas, 21, had undeniable chemistry with his former partner on and off the dance floor. Bryan is currently in India filming The Cheetah Girls: One World movie. Despite being multiple time zones away, Ballas says “Sabrina and I speak every day. We have Skype on our computers –- we both have Macs. We video conference and it’s great.”

Ballas says that Bryan will soon wrap the film and be back in the ballroom to cheer on him and Yamaguchi. There’s no jealousy, he assures.
